Health Food and Wholefood Shop Insurance

Wholefood and Health Food Shop Insurance

Naturesave Insurance is a specialist provider of green insurance solutions to protect you against potential loss from as little as £33 per month.

As every wholefood and health food shop is different, Naturesave Insurance has designed a bespoke insurance policy designed to be flexible and simple to understand. Cover can include:

  • Buildings (if you own your property) or Tenants Improvements (if you lease)
  • Contents, Machinery, Stock & Money at your premises
  • Business Interruption – for loss of income/profit and increased costs following damage to your premises
  • Stock and equipment taken away from your premises
  • Public, Products & Employers Liability
  • Legal Expenses
  • Professional Indemnity
  • Engineering & Inspection of Plant
  • Directors & Officers Liability
  • Crime, Fraud, Cyber & Data
  • Renewable Energy (solar panels on your roof?)
  • Terrorism

Naturesave already insure many wholefood and health food shops and we understand the various operational models you may use. Additionally, our policy is designed to be flexible to your changing requirements, such as changing from a limited company to a cooperative, or day-to-day alterations such as additional cover for bicycle deliveries, cooking workshops off site and hosting events. We do not charge any fees for amendments to you cover during the period of the insurance.

To give you an idea of the type of insurance we offer, we have put together a sample of real life wholefoods and health food shop insurance claims scenarios.

Once our clients find us they usually stick with us, with a 91% renewal retention rate for this type of business. Planet Organic in London has been a client for many years and they have this to say:

“We have had a strong relationship with Naturesave for many years and their service has always been exemplary, proactively assisting our insurance and claims requirements” Eric Adatia, Finance Director

Additionally, Ruth from the Whole Food Action Network and Ethical Consumer magazine believes that “Naturesave is the most ethical and environmentally conscious insurance provider” and Arjuna Wholefoods in Cambridge are happy to provide references regarding our service and ethics.

A unique feature of our insurance policy is our free Environmental Performance Review (EPR), which provides information and advice on your current environmental performance and how you may improve this and possibly save money. These EPRs are funded by The Naturesave Trust and each wholefood and health food shop joining Naturesave is eligible. As an added bonus, we recognise those that take part in this process with an Environmentally Aware Trading Certificate along with a financial award (10% of one year’s premium) in acknowledgement of your efforts to make your trading practices more sustainable.
