Ethical insurance brokers, Naturesave, have renewed their sponsorship and funding of Blue Patch’s sustainability-focused training sessions. Blue Patch is the “UK’s sustainably minded business community” and provides a comprehensive directory for ethical consumers. Their informal, lively, and creative online and in-person learning sessions enable members to explore real-life scenarios under the expert guidance of Chartered Environmentalist, Alice Doyle of Positive Impacts. Scenarios include managing a glamping site and water conservation, and fashion marketing without greenwash. Alongside these workshops they held drop-in clinics and introductions to carbon reduction and the Green Claims Code. These thought-provoking activities help Blue Patch members incorporate learnings into their own businesses and participate in the low-carbon, circular economy.

About Naturesave & Blue Patch
Naturesave Insurance are patrons of Blue Patch and have been part of the Blue Patch community for ten years. Part of their commitment to ethical and sustainable practices and supporting environmental causes includes the charitable aspect of their business: The Naturesave Trust. The Trust is funded by the insurance brokerage, amounting to around £1.1 million. From this funding, Naturesave supports charities, community projects, and social enterprises, including Blue Patch Learning. Naturesave also has multiple conservation programmes, including: Buy One Get One Tree, where for every policy sold, Naturesave plants a tree on land located in the Scottish Highlands.
In the words of Blue Patch, Naturesave continues to make a positive difference to the wider sustainable community:
“We love Naturesave’s ethos – as a social enterprise with a clear ethical policy we are so pleased that Naturesave has exemplary ethical policies.”
“Naturesave’s support through patronage has transformed our impact on fostering carbon and waste reduction as we work towards improving sustainability in small businesses.”
