Turning Heads social supermarket and community cafe has secured £1,000 from Naturesave Trust to pay for food and consumables to ensure that families and members of the social supermarket can access free hot meals and drinks through the week.
The social supermarket now reaches 230 families each week and the cafe space provides more than 80 hot meals a week, as well as tea, coffee, and cake. Everyone is welcome to visit the cafe and families who are really struggling can come every day.
This provision makes a huge difference to many individuals and families – many who use the service as a stopgap and just need support for a short time. Turning Heads social supermarket and community cafe is 100% dependent on grants and donations, so this funding from Naturesave makes a huge difference.
