Community Supported Agriculture farm Blackhills CSA announces the launch of Soil Revive, an innovative project turning farm waste into biochar to boost soil health and fight climate change. Led by biochar expert Aoife Ryan, Soil Revive will sequester carbon, enrich soil, and reduce reliance on chemical fertilizers. The project will utilize a new biochar kiln, acquired from Welsh company ‘Kon Tiki Kilns’, and train farm staff to sustain operations long-term. Soil Revive represents a model for sustainable agriculture, turning waste into a valuable resource for environmental resilience and productivity.
